The United Harvest Thanksgiving Service will be in St Thomas’ Church at 10.30 this morning.  We are delighted to welcome, as our special preacher, the Very Rev. Stephen Forde, who is the Dean of St Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast.   Stephen was the first rector of the grouped parishes of Booterstown and Carysfort with Mount Merrion from 1995 to 1999.

Live-stream

The 10.30 service will be livestreamed from St Thomas’ Church.  There has been a problem in linking the livestream to our Youtube page so you will need to link up to the company that is livestreaming services for St Thomas’ Church.  The direct link is

(Church Media TV who installed the webcam and who are live-streaming services for St Thomas’ Church got a bit confused as to where St Thomas’ Church is.  They will be rectifying this on Monday morning).

For those who may have difficulty getting onto churchmedia.tv/stillorgan Graham Hayes will record the livestream and post it afterwards on the YouTube page
However, please note that it will not be ‘live’ as in at 10.30 on the Youtube page, it will be there later on, on Sunday 29th September 2024.

Donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, female hygiene products, new underwear, pots of instant food, etc
We are asking people to bring donations of non-perishable food items (rice, pasta, cereal, biscuits, etc); toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrushes); female hygiene products (pads and tampons); new underwear and socks (all ages); instant pots of food (pot porridge, pot noodles, pot curries, pot pasta), to church tomorrow morning.  We will then pass these items onto the Capuchin Day Centre and the Alice Leahy Trust, both of which we have an ongoing working relationship.

Thank you to the families of Booterstown National School who donated a huge amount of fabulous items at the Harvest Assembly yesterday morning.  These are now all in St Thomas’ Church for tomorrow’s service.

Thank You
Thank you to all those who are doing wonderful decorations in St Thomas’ Church for the United Harvest Thanksgiving.
