Midweek Holy Communion Service
St Thomas’ Church, Mount Merrion Co. Dublin |
Every Wednesday (from October – June inclusive), we meet in St Thomas’ Church for a celebration of Holy Communion at 10.30, and we have a cup of tea or coffee afterwards. If there is a saint’s day or a holy day in the week, we observe it on the Wednesday and use Holy Communion Two. If there is no saint’s day or holy day, we use the readings from the previous Sunday and use Holy Communion One. Everyone is very welcome to this short, simple service. |

Holy Communion and Bible Study
St Philip and St James’ Church, Booterstown Co. Dublin |
There will be a service of Holy Communion, encompassing the first session of our bible study for Lent 2017, in St Philip and St James’ Church at 8pm. This year for Lent, we are doing a bible study. We are using the Bible Studies for Lent 2017, God’s Heart for Migrants’, written by Dr David Shepherd on behalf of the Biblical Association for the Church of Ireland. There is a little booklet for each person which contains the readings, etc., so you will not even need to remember to bring your bible with you, but, of course, you are most welcome to do so. The first one ‘God’s People as Migrants’ will take place during the Holy Communion Service on Ash Wednesday (1 March 2017) in St Philip and St James’ Church at 20.00 hours. The others bible studies will be in the Canon Osborne Barr Room of St Philip and St James’ Parish Centre at 20.00 hours on: Thursday 9 March 2017… God’s Heart for Migrants Thursday 23 March 2017… Ruth – a Story of Migration Thursday 30 March 2017… Ruth – a Story of Integration Thursday 6 April 2017… A Migrant People Please note that there will be no bible study on Thursday 16 March 2017, as we are aware of a number of people going away that evening for the St Patrick’s Weekend.
