YOUTH CLUB NEWS
New Equipment for PJT 1 & 2
After the great success of our Parish Fashion Show it was decided that
some of the proceeds should go towards buying new equipment for PJT Youth
Club. We are purchasing a projector & screen and a sound system with
speakers & microphone. This will give us plenty of new ideas and activities
that we can now programme into PJT Youth Club and the microphone will
hopefully save the leaders vocal chords from the perils of PJT1!!! Some
ideas we have planned include discos, roller discos, karaoke, movie nights,
discussion nights. Watch this space for more information.
If you would like any information regarding PJT Youth Club please
contact:
Nicola Halford via the Parish Office or email from our
contact page

St. Philip & St. James' Sunday Club
Sunday Club meet each Sunday in the
Parish Centre during service. There is no Sunday Club on the 4th
Sunday in the month as there is a Family Service, which the children attend.
There are 3 classes that cater for
children from the age of 3 years and this year we are following the Growing
Together programme published by the Sunday School Society for Ireland. We
currently have 30 children on our attendance sheets and each Sunday the children
receive a star for attendance. As in previous years the children will be
supporting "Fields of Life" with their contributions, which the bring to Sunday
Club each week.
We can be contacted through the Parish Office.
This year, Sunday club will always be at 11:30 at the start of the service
for approximately 40 minutes.
St. Thomas' Sunday Club
We meet on two Sundays each month in the Monk Gibbon Hall.
There are three classes which cater for children from the age of 3 years until Confirmation.
We are studying "ON the Way" published by Christian Focus Publications.
Currently, we have 27 children on our attendance sheet. Each month we pray
for the children in a specific country which we have marked on our map of
the world in the Hall porch. We look after a flower bed in the church
grounds and plant flowers and bulbs in it.
We commence with prayer, a short talk and then sing some choruses before
going to our classes. The senior class studies a portion from the Bible, the
other classes listen to a Bible story and then make, draw and colour some
aspect of the story.
New members are always welcome.
